A question unrequited
A thought now ommited
From my mind’s constant doubt

But its still their
But by a hair
Lingering in my soul

It grows larger
As I grow farther
From the ones I truly love

And now it returned
to prove my concern
for that one I truly love

why must I stay
in this array?
I hate this goddamn emotion

it is from life
I receive such strife
And I wish it cut down short

And as for her
I know for sure
She will never see anything in me

I must stay back
For I obviously lack
A quality that is appealing to her

I will never forget
When we first met
It was a fabulous day

Our lives are the same
With only us to blame
For the way things unfolded

She leans on my shoulder
As I become bolder
To tell her all of my thoughts

And again that thought…
The one I forgot
Pushing its way to the front

It has now enveloped me
Making me only be
More curious to find out the truth

The question I hold
Will now unfold
